Are soulmate sketches real?

Short answer: they are real products, but there is no evidence they depict a real future partner.

What a “soulmate sketch” is

A soulmate sketch is a portrait sold as a picture of the person you are “meant” to meet. Customers usually provide a few personal details, then receive an image and a written reading, usually by email.

Is there any evidence they work?

We found no independent evidence that any psychic or artist can identify a future partner’s appearance. Positive stories appear on sellers’ own pages, which makes them promotional rather than independent. Generic descriptions can feel personal because people tend to read specific meaning into broad statements, a well-documented effect called the Barnum effect.

What one vendor says about its own service

The vendor behind the offer we looked at publishes a disclaimer that is more cautious than its ads. According to its Disclaimer page and Terms (checked 2026-10-20):

Why this matters: If a sales page implies a human psychic hand-drew your future partner, compare that with the seller’s legal pages before paying.

Questions to ask any seller

If you are looking for connection

Feeling lonely or anxious about relationships is common. A sketch cannot address that. See our alternatives for approaches that can, and consider speaking with a licensed professional if these feelings are heavy.
